Cobalt Studio presents: The Price is Right.
This exhibition explores alternative art exchange and sales strategies that support artists and collectors, and expose the loss of artist agency and intervention in the marketplace.
Reception
at 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Artists and gallerists are excited to show art, but need money to survive. Join us for an exhibition centered on barter, bidding, and dialogue that empower artists and gallery goers to make choices about the sales process. Featuring artists John Behnke, Sonia Cheng, Marcellus Eli, Carlos Esparza, Duk Ju L Kim, Marcellous Lovelace, Antonio Martinez, Kate Perryman, Ken Hirte, Al Pocius, Mike Pocius, Jeremy Steffen, and Melody Williams. Curated and facilitated by Mike Pocius and Melody Williams.

Hot for O.S. is a tongue in cheek title for a show with artists who work with new technology. While we all are staring at our phones and tablets during our bus or train trips, these artists use new media and create artwork that is unique and challenge the norms of how we experience art.
Regarding the title, O.S. or Object Sexuality is a sexual fetish for people who fall in love or feel strong feelings of attraction to inanimate objects. Although these artists are not necessarily in love with their objects(or are they?), they do have a passion.
