Looking Forward- Spring Show Entry deadline:2/7

In Stitches: Laugh Now, Cry Later is a contemporary craft art show interpreting said title. Not much is known about the origins of the (happy/sad) theater masks apart from representing gang life. Artists are invited to express their take on the saying. Whether it be dark humor, resilience, nihilism, or even a meditative acceptance of life's balance, a majority of the show will feature contemporary craft.

Contemporary craft continues to walk a fine line between the familiarity of domesticity while pushing the boundaries of our expectations under the guise of comfort. Hosting a show with an emphasis on contemporary craft is an ode to skill and working with your hands, mind and heart. The contemporary craft artist is dedicated, clever, and well suited to portray these juxtaposing emotions.

Work it.
